In the previous two articles you were introduced to the life and work of Chicara Nagata – in this one we’ll shed some light on his latest motorbike art project. In 2014 he produced a motorcycle, which conceptually is totally different than all his previous ones. One of the reasons for this is the fact that the Japanese was contacted by a security equipment manufacturer with a special errand. The client desired to have a unique kind of a surveillance camera – so Chicara decided to implicate it into one of his masterpieces.
His latest production leaves a great impression with its minimalism. As for the author, he admits that as basis of this motorbike art work he has used the Honda P25 engine from 1966 – which could easily go for a moped as well. The maximum speed (maximum!) of the motor is 30 km/h and it is provided with 1,2 horse power.
Actually, as you can tell for yourselves, it’s not engine that’s noteworthy here, it’s the strikingly futuristic design. In the headlight Chicara Nagata has installed a Full HD camera with autofocus, produced by Sony. Besides it there are three others, hidden in the vehicle. It was presented at Japan’s highly attended safety exposition ‘Security Show’, which lasted from the 4th to the th of March.
